Schreibwerkstatt in der Ida

Ist der Schimmel keinen Nahrungsmitteln mehr zuzuordnen, der eitrig gelb blau-graue Schimmel, der an deiner Tastatur klebt? Hast du dir auch schon einmal am Tag gesagt, dass Weiterschreiben nur dazu führen würde dich mindestens in den psychischen Suizid zu treiben? Falls ja, such dir einen Psychiater, gute Drogen, einen Priester oder einen tamilischen Taxifahrer! Falls du denkst, es wäre eigentlich gut, was zu schreiben, aber besser, dafür etwas mehr Motivation und Disziplin zu haben, dann halte dir den Dienstag frei!

Erstes Treffen: 2.6.2015, 9:30 – 17.30h

Fortan wird Dienstags in der Ida eine Schreibwerkstatt stattfinden für jede Art von Texten und Schreibvorhaben, für die man Kontinuität, Ruhe, Geduld und Ausdauer, Konzentration und hin und wieder mal Kritik oder ein inspirierendes bis aufmunterndes Gespräch benötigt.

Treffen wollen wir uns um 9.30 Uhr und nach einer kleinen Runde, in der wir uns unsere Projekte vorstellen, direkt losschreiben. Wir nutzen die zwei Räume in der Ida zum einen als ruhiges Skriptorium und zum anderen als Raum für Austausch und Pausen in entspannter Atmosphäre. Von 13 – 14 Uhr machen wir eine gemeinsame Mittagspause in der Umgebung. Dann geht es weiter mit Schreiben bis 17 Uhr. WIr schließen mit einer Reflexionsrunde darüber, was wir jeweils an dem Tag geschafft und gelernt haben und wie er uns gefiel.

protestant-work-ethic_webMit so viel sympathischem Hohn wurde dem wahnwitzigen Effizienzdenken selten eine reingesemmelt. Denn dass sich eine derart relaxte und verspielte Combo „Protestant Work Ethic“ nennt, zeugt von subtiler Ironie & der einzig richtigen Sicht auf die Welt. Das Geheimnis zeitloser Songs? Simon Usaty & seine Mitarbeiter praktizieren es: sich Zeit nehmen und genau in sich hinein hören.

Auf dem 2013 erschienen Album Rush for Second Place geben mollige Weihnachtsbläser die Staffel in aller Ruhe weiter an ein Banjo, das über Stock und Stein hüpft. Dabei trifft es auf verstreute Choristen & Harp-Töne, die sich alle mit auf den Weg machen, um dem weiten Horizont hinter die Kulissen zu schauen. Ankommen heißt weiterschlendern – auch wenn in den Songs gern mal ein Gang zugelegt wird. Große Gesten werden hier nicht zelebriert, sondern tauchen nebenbei auf.
Protestant Work Ethic schenken uns akustische Foto-Collage mit ins Pastell verwaschenen angegrauten Momentaufnahmen, die unaufdringlich aber dafür umso dauerhafter in den Gehörgängen ihre Zelte aufschlagen. Ein neues Album ist in Arbeit. Diesmal in der Ida Simon solo.

Hatha yoga is sometimes called a „dual“ type of yoga because it includes a duality between two opposites: the sun (in Hindu, „ha“) and the moon („tha“). This main established principle for Hatha yoga leads to specific structured poses and other activities that help with body and mind „purification“ through principles like asana (postures), pranayama (subtle energy control) and more.

The Community class give people the opportunity to practice Yoga in an affordable way, as close to your house, in your neighbourhood. In this way we can know each other, share our interests and move our body and soul.

Probotic Vegan-CheeZe Workshop

Beans and Seeds are a protein-rich, nutritious and affordable part of a VEGAN (or not) diet. Learn the secrets for making these foods into dips and spreads that are easy to digest and packed with flavour. In an anti-bacterial age, fermentation is quickly becoming a lost art. We are here to reclaim it as an energy efficient food-preservation technique which is rooted in our cultural histories. We are captivated and inspired by the way fermented foods engage our senses and enhance whole food eating.

Our events are INTERACTIVE, SPONTANEOUS and INFORMATIVE. Through taste, touch, sight, smell and discussion we will explore the fascinating microbiological processes that turn beans and seeds into probiotic condiments. Each participant will have the chance to sample and join in discussions about the benefits of fermented foods. There will also be a do-it-yourself seed cheese making station so everyone can go home with their very own creation.

Suggested Donation: 10 Euros

Wir, Paul Salamone und Tim Whelan, sind die Sekretäre des Humors und ihr, Liebes Publikum seid die Beamten des hahAmtes. Unsere Komiker werden sich bei uns um die Mitgliedschaft beim Amt bewerben. Ihr entscheidet mit eurem Lachen und Stempeln, wer berechtigt ist, demm hahAmt beizutreten. Bewerben können sich lustige Darsteller jeder Art. Stand-ups, Slammer, Lesebühner, Impro-Komiker und Liedermacher …

Wir möchten eine wahre Durchmischung von Kunst im Sinne einer “alternativen” Comedy erreichen. Viele Künstler performen: aber am Ende gewinnt doch die Burokratie. Also los! Stempel Drauf!

Urizen Freaza – Fictional Recall

This is a collaborative project based on resurrecting forgotten memories.

I purchased a plastic bag full of Super 8 reels for 10€ at the flea market. When screening them at home i discovered that what i had in my hands was nothing but somebody’s family memories. After the first shock, i began to feel really disgusted by the fact of this memories being sold, rejected or, at least, forgotten. I projected all the footage and cut it in one minute length clips which didn’t follow any intention or idea and that i offered to writers to give them a second life. The idea was to invent a fictional context for those memories with unknown origin, to write a story in first person that made them their own. So those orphan keepsakes could recover the lost value. And in a certain way, the idea was also to emulate the way our own memory works.

António Onio – POWER OF VULNERABILITY

Power of Vulnerability is a lecture performance created in the context of the “Queer Free Thinking and Self-Expression” day in London 2014. This play of strengths and energies, the power threshold of the public/audience separation, its erratic movement practices – everything leads to the same end: a place of realness where actions can transcend space, and words can transcend people. The artist firmly believes that this context is only reachable through self-exposure and shameless weakness: the power of vulnerability.

Wahshi Kuhi – UNTITLED

Wahshi Kuhi is an artist and human rights activist from Kurdistan, Iran. Born in 1979, he grew up surrounded by war. Unlike the other children, he was always frightened. His family was politically involved and his father went to jail twice for his activities. Wahshi fled his country at the age of 23. He studied Art at the Salahaddin University-Hawler (SUH) in Erbil, Iraq, and graduated in Plastic Art.

Today, Wahshi lives and works in Berlin. Most of his installations and live performances are politically motivated. But this Friday, it’s all about LOVE. “My heart craves for love, but my head wants something else. What can the heart do?” We will explore.

We are Olivia, a French musician who specializes in wind instruments, and Kyra, a Canadian contemporary dancer, and together we form Twist&Shout Collective. We explore various instances of instant composition here in Berlin. We enter new spaces, take into account all the information we see/hear/smell/feel and create a unique piece of work completely in the now.

YAN GI CHENG

Yan Gi Cheng is a British born Chinese multidisciplinary artist currently based in Berlin. His performance and poetry works deal with notions of displacement, cultural exile and ritualism often forcing absurd and contradictory actions and gestures to coexist as one.

Bau #1 – An interactive piece

A sound we hear almost every day. A sound to communicate and activate emotions, play with the scale of empathy and volumes of intentions.

Movements are sounds activated from intentions, thoughts are sounds, creating rooms, spaces where new energy is engaged.

In recent years I developed my conceptual approach to dance theatre, in which a laboratory situation is created on stage in order to examine and highlight aspects of the relationship between the audience and the performers through movement, text and improvisation. My works has taken also the form of an ongoing research project. It is based on an interaction system developed by the artist – a concept that questions the idea of dramaturgy itself. It focuses on the audience and its influence on the evolution of the performance, which consist of previously established elements (structure, choreography, texts or voice as sounds) as well as improvisation
